Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress president Sonia Gandhi joins Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka

Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka : Bharat Jodo’ Yatra is currently going on in Karnataka, meanwhile, along with Rahul Gandhi, his mother Sonia Gandhi also joined him.

The party has named those 119 leaders, including Rahul, as ‘Bharat Yatris’, who will go on a padyatra to Kashmir. These people will cover the prescribed distance of 3,570 km. Congress believes that this yatra will serve as a lifeline for the party. And will also connect the core voters of the party.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday joined the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Mandya, Karnataka and took a padyatra along with Rahul Gandhi and other ‘Bharat Yatris’. Sonia started this padyatra from Dak Bungalow in Mandya district. She joined the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ for the first time. Sonia’s padyatra in Mandya a few months before the Karnataka assembly elections is also significant in the sense that it is considered to be an area dominated by the Deve Gowda family and the JDS party.

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal told the media, “It is a historic moment that Sonia Gandhi ji has joined this yatra. This will further strengthen the party in Karnataka.” Rahul Gandhi and many other Congress leaders and workers had started the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7. These days the journey is in Karnataka. The yatra will conclude in Kashmir early next year. A total distance of 3,570 km will be covered under this yatra. Congress has high hopes from this visit. The way people have been seen in South India, a different kind of energy is visible in the Congress workers. And Rahul Gandhi’s self-confidence has also increased, he has so far done a walk of 450 km.
