In fact, on August 22, Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to Medanta Hospital after his health deteriorated. He was complaining of chest infection, urine infection and shortness of breath. On the night of 1 October, he was shifted to the ICU. A panel of doctors from Medanta was treating Mulayam Singh Yadav. There is a wave of mourning in the Samajwadi Party on the death of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Mulayam Singh Yadav also became the Chief Minister of UP for the first time in 1989. But in 1991 the Janata Dal broke up.
