Shikhar Dhawan gets divorced his wife Aesha Mukerji

After eight years of marriage, Shikhar Dhawan, an Indian cricketer, and his wife Ayesha Mukherjee separated. Dhawan will be hoping to be included to India’s T20 World Cup team, which is scheduled to be revealed on Wednesday (September 8). Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee, a Melbourne-based boxer, in 2012 and adopted her two kids from her previous marriage. Zoravar, the couple’s son, was born.

Ayesha announced the news on her new Instagram page, ‘Aesha Mukerji,’ on Tuesday, after her old profile, ‘Ayesha Dhawan,’ was removed from the social networking site. Dhawan and Aesha tied the wedding on October 30, 2012. Aesha was born in West Bengal but came to Australia when she was eight years old. She is also a qualified kickboxer and sports enthusiast. Ayesha, 46, was formerly married to a businessman from Australia. She had given birth to their first child, Aliyah, with him in 2000. In 2005, she gave birth to another daughter, Rhea.

Dhawan has been a key performer for India for numerous years, particularly in limited-overs forms. The left-hander made his ODI debut in 2010 and his Test debut in 2013, hitting a century on debut against Australia. In 2011, he made his T20I debut. Dhawan has appeared in 145 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), 68 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), and 34 Tests for India. The 35-year-old recently commanded a youthful India squad on a white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, while regular skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma were in England for the Test series. While he guided them to a 2-1 series triumph in ODIs, the Indian squad was plagued by a Covid problem and finally lost the T20I series by the same margin.

Meanwhile, Dhawan, who has yet to corroborate the report, was last seen guiding the youthful Indian squad on the pitch during the July visit to Sri Lanka. Dhawan, a seasoned campaigner and crucial part in the Men in Blue’s limited-overs side, has led the team’s powerful batting line-up for for a decade. He led India to six white-ball victories in Sri Lanka. Rahul Dravid coached the team, which had six uncapped players. Shikhar Dhawan is vying for a spot in India’s T20 World Cup team, which will be revealed on Wednesday. With Rohit Sharma selecting himself, Dhawan and KL Rahul may compete for the opening spot. However, with the BCCI preparing to announce a large team with an eye towards COVID-19 procedures, Dhawan is sure to earn a spot.
